School Prospectus Photography
With 15 years previous experience as a primary teacher, and now a school photographer, I know schools. I know that you need your photographs to show your setting at its best; and to demonstrate what it is that sets you apart from the settings around you in Hertfordshire and London. I know how to encourage a natural smile and to capture joy in work and play. I also know the importance of safeguarding, and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
I offer school photography for your prospectus, website and social media accounts, as well as natural children’s portraits. This is as an alternative to the traditional school portrait, and has a higher uptake from parents. Is Alannah Hebbert Photography GDPR compliant?
How long do you store our images on your system?
I keep your images on file for 12 months, stored in your online gallery and backed up on a secure hard disk. After 12 months, I remove all images from my system, with the exception of any in my portfolio (see next question for more info)
Will you use our images in your own online portfolio?
I will only use images that you have published in the public areas of your school website or social media. This way I can be sure that the correct permissions are in place. Of course, is this is not permissible in your own policies, I will not use the photographs, and will simply create a link to your website.
Where can we use our images?
Once you have paid for your photos, and you have downloaded them from the online gallery, they are yours to use as you wish.
Our website uses images of a specific width and height, can you accommodate this?
As your school photographer, this is something I cover in my initial consultation with you. If you supply me with the dimensions ahead of the photo shoot, I will take a selection of photographs with these measurements in mind.
What steps do you take to ensure safeguarding practices are maintained?
I take safeguarding very seriously and have an enhanced DBS certificate. In my previous career as a teacher and member of SLT, I was safeguarding lead, and so have a good understanding of the expectations. I am also a current school governor. All of these experiences go hand in hand to enable me to be the best school photographer for you.
What if the weather is particularly inclement?
I work in all weathers; indeed, overcast weather can give the best quality of light for photography! If it is exceptionally wet weather, we can discuss a postponement. I know that you need to show your school at its very best.
Can we order prints to put up around the school?
Yes! When you receive your online gallery, you will also be given options to purchase prints of a professional quality, frames, canvases and acrylic wall art.
