I love photographing christenings, and this one in Welwyn Garden City was perfect in every way. Held at the church of Our Lady, the priest went out of his way to make everybody welcome with his warm, friendly service. The church is an incredible venue, with stunning (and huge!) stained glass windows. I find that christening photography in Welwyn Garden City is always good fun, but it certainly helps when the ceremony is so lovely!

The little star of the show, a gorgeously cheerful baby boy, was clearly very much loved by his family and friends. It was the first time that some of his relatives met him properly. due to Covid. A really special event.

The Rose and Crown, in the nearby village of Welwyn, was the venue for the after party. They have recently gone through a comprehensive refurbishment, including a barn event venue in the garden. The family had decorated with personalised balloons and banners, which gave the whole place a great vibe.
